Curriculum

  • Our most popular workshop takes students on an interactive 4-hour journey! Students are guided as they comb through current spending habits, reflect on personal needs, and create a spending plan or S.M.A.R.T. Goal. Through scenarios and small group collaboration, young people will be exposed to learning about career based income, taxes, paystubs, and various financial pitfalls they potentially will encounter. Throughout the course students reflect on where their progress currently is towards their financial goal. At the conclusion of the program, students are celebrated in collaboration with our corporate sponsors and partners to celebrate students beginning their financial journey and changes in their habits!

  • Our 1-hr Crash Course is a mini version of our 4-hr comprehensive workshop! This version was made for groups that desire financial literacy but have limited time to commit to a more comprehensive program. Students are left with resources to dig deeper.

  • Planned to A.T.’s curriculum was specifically designed to be hosted in-person or online to fit your organizations needs! We are happy to tailor the duration and frequency of programming.

  • Planned to A.T. is currently woking on autonomous curriculum for school systems and youth organizations to utilize. Feel free to check out our Needs vs Wants video here !

Preparing young people for successful and stable financial lives

As educators we are aware of the pitfalls that a lack of financial education can have on young people from diverse or underserved backgrounds. The lack of knowledge delays and sometimes prevents financial freedom. Due to the lack of relatable resources, this program was born.

With a combined experience of 16+ years in education, Ashley and Tiffany designed this interactive curriculum to immerse young people in experiences that are engaging, impactful, and set them up with tangible next steps to develop long-term healthy financial habits.

What our students have said

I learned that you should budget your money. You should know what money is coming in and out. You should invest more in a house rather than a car.
— Lailah N
One thing I would tell a friend to do is save their money! Every time they get paid or a paycheck, save a percent or put some money aside for either emergencies or other things you need to invest in for later in life.
— Jahziyah J.
My favorite part of the workshop was listing our wants and needs, distinguishing between the two was eye-opening. I learned a lot about understanding how they affect my life and my bank account.
— Don D.
One thing I learned from the workshop was how to read a pay stub when referring to gross and net pay
— Mason F.
